Thank you to everyone who supported Walk for Mela-No-More 2024. We hope Sunny’s messages were a good reminder to be sun safe as summer approaches.

Our annual fundraiser Walk For Mela-No-More is back coinciding with National Skin Cancer Action Week from 20-26 November 2024.
Walk for Mela-No-More is a fun walking fundraiser during National Skin Cancer Action Week (NSCAW) from Wednesday 20 to Tuesday 26 November 2024.
The Australian Melanoma Research Foundation (AMRF) is inviting everyone to sign up and create an online fundraising page and invite friends and family to support you fundraising for vital funds into research, awareness and early detection programs, while you remind everyone about the importance of sun safety as summer fast approaches.
Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world with one person dying from melanoma every 5 hours. Melanoma is the most common cancer in young Australians (20-39 year olds) but the incidence for people over 60 is also high and increasing. AMRF continues its commitment to change outcomes by highlighting these alarming statistics and raising awareness of sun safety during NSCAW. We urge everyone to book in for a yearly skin check with a health professional; good news is that if detected early more than 90% of melanoma cases can be successfully treated.
So join in and take action this National Skin Cancer Action Week to help us raise sun safety awareness as summer fast approaches.
