Australian Melanoma Research Foundation (AMRF) regularly remits funds to research and awareness/prevention programs. These funds are commitments to third parties and, as such, there can be no obligation for AMRF to refund donations received for these purposes. Decisions on refunds will be at the discretion of AMRF’s management.
If a donation is refunded, the associated tax receipt is no longer valid and should be securely destroyed. Please note it is your responsibility to submit only valid receipts to the Australian Tax Office.
Donations and Refunds
AMRF accepts all donations in good faith, including monthly gifts. AMRF will consider refunds under the following circumstances if:
- there was an error made by AMRF or one of our agents
- the donation was provided by a vulnerable person and contested by their carer or equivalent
- the donor made an error in the amount donated
- the donor nominated the AMRF as recipient in error
- there are exceptional circumstances presented by the donor
Applications for a refund of a donation should be made within 90 days of the date the donation has been made. AMRF is a non-profit charity organisation and we reserve the right to pass any bank or transaction charges for any refund processed onto the donor.
Errors by AMRF
Should an error be made by AMRF, one of our representatives or our financial institution(s) will process a refund as soon as possible when notification of the error is received and all costs will be borne by AMRF.
